Ingredients

  1. 4 pieces tilapia fish cut and washed
  2. 1 onion sliced
  3. 6-7 pods garlic crushed
  4. 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  5. 1 tomato paste
  6. 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  7. to taste Salt
  8. 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
  9. 1/2 tablespoon cumin powder
  10. 1/2 tablespoon coriander powder
  11. 1/2 tablespoon onion seed
  12. 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  13. 1 tablespoon chopped onion leaves
  14. 1/2 cup + more Oil for swallow frying and gravy
  15. 2 cups water

  1. Marinate the fish pieces with salt and turmeric powder

  2. Fry them in oil and keep aside

  3. In a kadai, heat oil and fry the sliced onions and onion seeds.

  4. Add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and sauté

  5. Add tomato paste in it and cumin, coriander powder in it and sauté for 2-3 minutes

  6. When the masalas are cooked and separates oil, add two cups of water and boil along with the fried fish pieces.

  7. Let it cook for five minutes then add chopped coriander leaves and spring onions

  8. When the water reduces and becomes gravy off the flame and serve with hot plain rice.
