Chingri maacher malai curry (prawn malai curry)

  1. 4 prawns (properly washed)
  2. 1 onion(paste)
  3. 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  4. 1 onion chopped
  5. 1 cup coconut milk
  6. 3 tablespoon desicated coconut
  7. 1 teaspoon red chilli Powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  9. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  10. 1 teaspoon whole jeera
  11. 1 bay leaf
  12. 1 whole dry red chilli
  13. 2 pods green cardamom
  14. 2 cloves
  15. 1 cinnamon stick
  16. Yo taste salt
  17. As needed oil for frying
  18. 1 teaspoon garam masala powder

  1. Add Photo

    At first marinate the fish with salt and turmeric

  2. Add Photo

    Heat a pan add oil

  3. Add Photo

    Shallow fry the prawns and keep aside

  4. Add Photo

    Add whole jeera garam masala bay leaf and whole dry red chilli for tampering

    Add ginger garlic paste saute well

  6. Add Photo

    Add onion paste and saute well adding salt and turmeric powder

  7. Add Photo

    Now add the red chilli Powder and desicated coconut and mix well

  8. Add Photo

    Add the coconut milk and allow it to boil

  9. Add Photo

    Once it starts boiling add the prawns and cover till the prawns get tender.

    Garnish it with slitted green chillies and serve with rice
