Sindhi Koki is all time and every Sindhis favourite. We Sindhis love to take while travelling long distances or picnics . It is made with dough of whole wheat flour onions and pomegranate seeds . Goes well with curds,papad , pickle or tea .

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups wheat flour
  2. 2 onions finely chopped
  3. 2 tbsp curd
  4. 1 tsp anardana (pomegranate powdered seeds)
  5. 5-6 green chilles finely chopped
  6. salt

Cooking Instructions

    In a thali, mix all the above ingredients and make stiff dough.

    Make equal portions of the dough.

  3. 3

    Roll out each portion into thick Paratha.

  4. 4

    With a knife make a design of diagonal lines crisscrossing each other from one end to the other side of the paratha.

    This is to ensure that Koki gets cooked well from inside.

    Heat the tava and cook koki on slow flame, flipping from one side to the other till golden brown and crisp.

    Serve hot with papad, curds,pickle or chai.

    Tip....If you want to make have more yummy version
    of koki use ghee/oil add 3-4 tbsp of any one or both in equal portions and knead the dough.

    While flipping on tawa also use ghee/ oil to enhance the taste.
