White Sauce Pasta

Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cup penne pasta
  2. 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (red, yellow and green bell pepper, brokoli)
  3. 1 cup boiled and cooled milk
  4. 1 1/2 tbsp butter
  5. 1 tbsp maida
  6. 1/2 tsp finely chopped garlic cloves
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  8. 1/4 tsp oregano
  9. Little drop of oil
  10. Salt as per taste
  11. Water as required

Cooking Instructions

    Making pasta

    Bring plenty of water in a pot to boil. Add pasta along with little drop of oil & salt, & cook till done.

    Drain & set aside the boiled pasta.

    In a pan add 1/2 tsp butter, melt it. Add chopped vegetables & saute for few seconds until vegetables are cooked but still crunchy. Transfer to a plate.

    In the same pan add remaining butter, melt it.Add finely chopped garlic cloves, saute for few seconds.

    Add maida & whisk very well.

    Add milk slowly & keep whisking constantly.

    The mixture will start to thicken.

    Now add red chilli flakes, oregano, black pepper powder & salt.

    Keep whisking till the sauce thickens & turns smooth.

    Add the sauted vegetables & boiled pasta & mix well.

    If you feel that sauce is too thick add milk as per sauce of thickness.

    Turn off the gas. White sauce pasta is ready to eat.

    Transfer it to serving plate & garnish with grated cheese.

    Serve hot.
