White Sauce Pasta

Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cup penne pasta
  2. 1 cup boiled & cooled milk
  3. 1 cup vegetables (red, yellow green bell pepper, brokoli)
  4. 1 1/2 tbsp butter
  5. 1 tbsp maida
  6. 1/2 tsp finely chopped garlic cloves
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  8. 1/4 tsp oregano
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. Little drop of oil
  11. Water as required

Cooking Instructions

    Bring plenty of water in a pot to boil. Add pasta along with salt and little drop of oil & cook till done.

    Drain & set aside the boiled pasta.

    In a pan add 1/2 tsp of butter & melt it.

  4. 4

    Add chopped vegetables & saute for few seconds. Cook vegetables little cooked but still crunchy. Remove to a plate.

    Melt remaining butter in the same pan add chopped garlic cloves & saute.

    Add maida & whisk very well.

    Add milk slowly & keep whisking constantly on low flame.

    The mixture will start to thicken. Now add red chilli flakes, oregano, black pepper powder and salt.

    Keep whisking till the sauce thickens and turns smooth.

    If you feel that sauce is too thick add milk as per the sauce of thickness.

    Add sauted vegetables & boiled pasta & mix well.

    Turn off the gas. Pasta is ready.

    Transfer it to serving plate and garnish with grated cheese & serve hot.
