Chholar Dal diey Pepey r Dalna
Ingredients

1 raw papaya

1 big potato/ one tomato

1 bayleaf

1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

1 teaspoon onion paste

1 teaspoon red chilli powder
-
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Salt as per taste

1 teaspoon coriander powder
-
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

1 teaspoon desi ghee.OR clarified butter
Cooking Instructions

Peel and cut the papaya into square,scraping & discarding the middle portion and the seeds nicely.

Cut the potatoes and tomatoes into cubes

Soak the chhana Dal for 1/2 an hour.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker.

Add one bayleaf and 1/2 teaspoon whole cumin.

Add the cut papaya & potato pieces.

Lightly fry the pieces

Add turmeric chilli powder & salt.

Add tomatoes pieces.

Add onion and ginger garlic paste.

And coriander powder.

Cook it on slow flame for 6 to 7 minutes.

Add soaked Bengal gram.

Give it a good mix.

Cook for another 3 minutes.Add one cup hot water.

Close the lid of the pressure cooker and wait till one whistle.

Open it till all the pressure realeased.

Add half teaspoon garam masala powder & one teaspoon of desi ghee or clarified butter.

Serve hot with roti or rice.
