MacDonald French fries

  1. 4 Potatoes peeled
  2. 2 tbsp Rock salt
  3. 2 tsp Sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp White pepper
  5. 1/2 tsp Vinegar
  6. 8 cups cold water
  7. 1/8 tsp Paprika powder for garnishing
  8. Oil - Deep frying


2 & 1/2 hours
  1. Add Photo

    Cut potatoes into 1/4" long uniform fingers with the help of French fry cutter

    Place potatoes in refrigerator in air tight bag for 2 hrs. Take water in a pan boil it and put the potato fingers into the pan and keep for 3-4 mins. Drain water now rinse the potatoes under cold water. Pat dry it..... And place the fingers in an air tight bags in freezer for 2 hours.

  3. Add Photo

    Take oil in a deep kadai. When the oil gets warm put 25 - 30 strips at a time. Fry for 3-4 mins. Take them out place on a absorvent paper to soak excess oil.

  4. Add Photo

    Garnish with black salt, white pepper. If it's not available than with black pepper and serve hot.
