Masala French Toast

We have all enjoyed the classical sweet French toast/ Bombay toast. This is a desi twist on the French toast. A sure heat among spicy food lovers. Can be had as breakfast or as evening snacks with tea/coffee.
Ingredients

1 medium sized onion finely chopped

1/2 a large green capsicum finely chopped

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

2 tsp red chilli powder
-
1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp garam masala

1 tsp salt
-
2 slices wheat bread
-
2 tbsp marinara sauce / pasta & pizza sauce

4 tsp oil for frying
Cooking Instructions

Finely chop the onion and capsicum

Beat together 2 eggs until it’s creamy.

Add the warm milk into the eggs

Add the chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Mix well.

Add the chopped onions and capsicum

Apply marinara sauce to both sides of the bread slices.

Dip the bread slice in the egg mixture and drop it on a pan with oil. Make sure the bread is coated well with the egg and the veggies are included. After it’s cooked on one side flip it over and cook on the other side.

Finally garnish the toast with some grated paneer/cottage cheese. Serve hot with ketchup and tea.
