Ingredients

  1. 2 cups soyabean
  2. 1 capsicum chopped into cubes
  3. 1 large onion cut into cubes
  4. 2 teaspoon ginger paste
  5. 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  6. 1 egg
  7. 2 dry red chillies
  8. 2 teaspoon vinegar
  9. 1 tablespoon cornflour
  10. 2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  11. 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  12. 1 1/2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  13. to taste Salt
  14. as needed Vegetable oil

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the soyabean in a pressure cooker by adding 1 teaspoon of salt and water upto 2-3whistles.

    Drain it from the water

    Beat one egg, add 1 teaspoon of ginger paste, 1 teaspoon of garlic paste, 1teaspoon of black pepper, a little amount of salt, and cornflour.

    Mix it very well. You may add more cornflakes if required. Note that too much of cornflour can make it rubber-like balls.

    Roast the dry red chillies in a wok and grind it with your fingers to get the chilli flakes. Dip it in the vinegar for a while.

    Heat some oil in a wok, deep fry the soyabeans and keep it aside.

    In the same wok, heat some oil if required.

    Add the chopped onion and saute it for a while. After you can see a light brown colour, add the capsicum.

    Add some salt and saute it well.

    Cover it in between.

    After the capsicum has become soft, add the ginger and garlic paste.

    Fry them well.

    Add the vinegar mixture that was prepared above.

    Add the soya sauce and tomato ketchup.

    Saute everything well.

    Add the fried soyabean balls.

    Mix them well.

    Add 1 cup of water for the gravy.

    Mix them well and bring it to boil.

    Check the salt and add if required. You may also add some more tomato ketchup if required.

    Mix 1/2 teaspoon of cornflour with 2 tablespoon of water and add it. This will make the gravy thicker. Add rest of the black pepper mix it well.

    After you get the desired consistency of the gravy, remove it from the flame and serve hot with fried rice.
