Tomato sama rice

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup sama rice
  2. 1 inch ginger
  3. Rock salt as per taste
  4. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder

Cooking Instructions

    First, make a tomato puree with ginger and chillies.

    In a kadhai.heat the ghee first and add cumin seeds allow to splutter.

    Add tomatoes paste, add rock salt too. Give a nice stir.

    Now add washed sama rice into a puree and add black pepper powder and methi leaves.

  5. 5

    Give a stir, add water almost 1.5 cup.cover lid and cooked till rice become properly cooked.

    Serve with cucumber raita or with tari wale aloo.
