Ingredients

  1. 1 apple, washed, wiped, peeled and diced
  2. 2 tbsp sugar or more if apples are less sweet
  3. 2 tbsp ghee
  4. 2 tbsp water
  5. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  6. 1 tbsp blanched almond flakes
  7. 1 tbsp blanched pistachios flakes

Cooking Instructions

    Melt ghee in a kadhai.

  2. 2

    Add apples and saute them for 5 mins.

  3. 3

    When they turn brown and are soft, add water.

  4. 4

    Cook on slow flame for 10-12mins.

  5. 5

    Mash the apples with the serving spoon and go on stirring frequently to avoid the mixture getting burnt.

    Add sugar and continue to stir.

  7. 7

    Add cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.

  8. 8

    Cook for more 5mins or until ghee leaves the sides of the kadai.

    Garnish with almond and pistachio flakes.

    Apple Halwa can be served hot or cold. Enjoy
