Ingredients

1/2 kg Maida

3 tbsp Ghee

Oil for frying Gujiya

250 gm Khoya
-
1/2 cup Dry fruits: almond chopped

250 gm Sugar

1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
-
2 pinch Baking powder
Cooking Instructions

Take a mixing bowl.Add maida,ghee, baking powder and mix well.

Take cold water and knead into a tight dough.

For stuffing take a pan and heat 1tsp ghee.Add Khoya to it and stir.

Add sugar after 5mins and keep stirring continuously.

Add cardamom powder,dry fruits chopped and mix.We have to make a this mixture dry.Turn off gas once done.Keep to cool.

Now make small balls of lemon size.Rool out to thin puree like circle.

Take 2tsp of khoya and put in center.Cover the other side of puree to make a semi circle.See shape in my pic.Seal it by twisting with your two fingers.Also a design will be formed.

Heat oil in a work.You can use ghee also for frying.

Repeat and make same size Gujiyas with remaining dough.

Deep fry on medium heat till light brown.

Take out on a tissue to drain out excess oil.

This Gujiyas are excellent in taste and made during Dussehra and Holi.
