I have always looked forward to making donuts. I met a spontaneous foodie friend who challenged me and we made them together. Well, the results were pleasing

Measure all your ingredients well.

Add flour, sugar, blueband yeast, salt, egg and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well.

Start adding water in small bits as you knead well.

Put the dough in a flat surface continue kneading to combine.

Add some oil and knead in the dough. Cover the dough to rest in a warm place and rise double in size.

Once the dough rises twice in size after about 20 minutes. Take it out, spread it out to about 2 inch thickness.

Cut out the dough to form a doughnut. You can be creative with your kitchen tools.

Let the cut out dough rest for about 10 minutes.

Heat up your oil. When it's hot enough, deep fry the doughnuts till well browned on both sides.

Garnish with chocolate ganache n dessicated coconuts if you like.Enjoy with a cup of hot chocolate.
