Chop the green oninons and set aside. Drain water from tofu using a towel or paper towel.
Coat all sides of tofu in corn starch and fry in oil (almost deep fry). While the tofu is frying make the soup.
Add the water, Hondashi, soy sauce and sugar to a pot and bring to a boil.
Separate the tofu into bowls. Add some daikon, ginger, green onions and soup to each bowl.
