Prepare the Ingredients. heat oven to 180 degrees c.

Heat apples, sugar, cinamon, raisins and water in saucepan

Put flour, sugar and butter in bowl and mix to breadcrumbs.

Add egg and lightly mix into pastry. not too much.
5.
Make into ball and leave for later.

When apples have softened remove from heat and cool.

roll out pastry to 2-3cm larger than tin. grease 30cm tin.

Place pastry in bottom of the tin, tidy up sides.

Cook in oven for 15 mins.

Remove from oven and fill with cooled apple mixture.

Roll out rest of pastry and place on top of apple. join base

Cook for 25 mins. Remove, cool remove from tin, on rack.
14.
Mix icing sugar and water to till slightly runny.
15.
Spread on cake and leave for several hours to set.
16.
Enjoy with coffee and cream.
