I like Supermarket Coles’ Kaleslaw Salad Kit because I like the flavour of it's dressing. I have many times tried to recreate it's flavour. One reasonably good result was ‘Yoghurt Dressing’ (see 'Kale Coleslaw with Yoghurt Dressing'), but I was still not sure how to make the creamy texture of the dressing, but I finally discovered. Use Buttermilk!

Ingredients

About 200ml
  1. 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  2. 1/4 cup Japanese Mayonnaise *OR Mayonnaise or your choice
  3. 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice OR Vinegar
  4. 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  5. 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  7. 1/8 teaspoon ground White Pepper *OR Black Pepper
  8. 1/4 teaspoon Dry Dill *OR 1 teaspoon finely chopped Fresh Dill
  9. *Note: Instead of Dill, you can use Parsley, OR both

Cooking Instructions

    Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. You may wish to add some Ground Chilli.

    *Note: Add some Sour Cream to make the dressing thicker and richer. It will be a great dip for Vegetable sticks.
