Punjabi Lamb curry served with rice

North Indian style lamb curry, i make this for friends and they all say i should open a restaurant lol, so please try it and enjoy. Remember with curries you can enhance the spices to your taste.

3-4 servings
  1. 1 kg lamb shoulder cut into pieces
  2. 2 tbsp salt
  3. 2 tbsp garam masala
  4. 2 tbsp cumin seeds
  5. 2 tbsp Turmeric power
  6. 2 tbsp ground coriander
  7. 1 bunch fresh coriander
  8. 500 g chopped tomatoes
  9. 3 large onions chopped
  10. 250 g butter
  11. 5 cloves garlic chopped
  12. 1.5 inches ginger chopped
  13. 5 green chillies / or however spicy u want
  14. Boiled rice of how much u want


  1. Change

    Wash the lamb with water and drain, Put the lamb, salt, cumin, Turmeric, ground coriander, garlic, ginger, chilli, onions, chopped tomatoes, into a pot and mix nicely, then put on low heat for 1 hour

  2. Add Photo

    After 1 hour add the butter and cook it for another 30mins or until lamb is tender

  3. Add Photo

    Add garam masala and mix nicely, then sprinkle chopped coriander on top.

  4. Change

    Serve with rice or/and naan bread
