Sweet white bread
An easy sweet and dense white bread with a lovely crust
Ingredients

2.5 Cups All purpose flour

1 Cup Water

5 tablespoons Sugar

0.75 teaspoon Instant dry yeast

1 teaspoon Salt

1/8 Cup Vegetable oil
Cooking Instructions

Bring the water to lukewarm temperature and stir in the sugar

Add the yeast and let it proof. You will see the yeast looking like its lightly creamy. Expected time: 10 mins

Now add in the oil and salt.

Add one cup of flour at a time and knead till the dough is not sticky anymore

Shape into a ball and lightly brush with oil

Leave in a bowl to rest, covered with aluminium foil. Make sure that the vessel has enough space for dough to double

Let it rise for 1.5 hours

Punch down the risen dough once and shape into a loaf. Place in a lightly greased pan of 8.5"*4". Let the dough rise for another 40 mins. (Generally rises upto 1.5 inch)

Bake in oven at 350 degree farenheit for 35 minutes
