  1. 1 cup salted/unsalted butter, softened
  2. 3 1/4 cup self-rising flour/plain cake flour
  3. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  4. 2 large eggs
  5. 1 cup sugar
  6. 3/4 vanilla essence
  7. pinch salt

  1. In a bowl; beat together the eggs, sugar and vanilla essence.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, flour and baking powder. Mixture must be crumbly.

  3. Mix together the two mixtures together and let it stand for about 5-10min in room temperature or put it in the refrigerator for about 30min.

  4. Preheat oven to 190°C.

  5. Roll dough into rather small balls and place on baking sheet. Make sure that there is enough space between each ball, since the self-rising flour shall let the cookies rise rather largely.

  6. NOTE: after the cookies are taken out of the oven and it's still soft, don't put it back into the oven, since it shall harden when cooled down.
