Dissolve the yeast in the tepid milk and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well until you have a batter with no lumps in it. Set it aside in a warm place to rise for about 30 minutes.
Peel the apples and grate them, Mix the grated apples into the batter, set aside for 30 minutes to double in volume.
Place a little oil in a non-stick frying pan over moderate heat.
When it is hot, add spoonfuls of the batter in the frying pan and fry on both sides until golden brown. Place them on kitchen paper to get rid of the excess oil.
