Corn Fritter Indonesian style

we consider it as a savoury snack, perfect to have it with chillies. enjoy the afternoon break with cup of tea. simple and so good



  1. 4 cobs of sweet corn,2 cobs grated and 2 cobs peeled
  2. 1 piece carrot, diced small pieces
  3. 2 stalks green onion, finely chopped chopped
  4. 4 tablespoon plain flour
  5. 2 tablespoon rice flour
  6. 1 cloves red onion, or 3 cloves shallots
  7. 2 cloves garlic
  8. 1 teaspoon coriander seeds,toasted
  9. salt pepper
  10. chicken powder
  11. vegetable oil


  1. Add Photo

    Blend red onion,garlic and coriander seeds with salt,pepper and chicken powder with 1 cup of water until smooth

  2. Add Photo

    Put grated corn,peeled corn,diced carrot and chopped green onion in a bowl,pour the blended onion, and add on plain flour and rice flour mixed them well like a batter.

    Put vegetable oil in a pan with high heat, then deep fry until corn fritter cooked in golden brown

    Tips : make sure the oil is hot before you deep fry the fritter,so it doesnt absorb alot of oil. final result fritter will be chruncy and not oily. serve with hot chilli. superb!!!
