My take on beef chilli and its a tried and tested and loved by the family and it freezes really well, just defrost throughly and reheat through.
You can add 1/2tps of tabasco sauce if you like it spicy hot

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 500 g 5% minced beef
  2. 100 g chopped mushrooms
  3. 1 large onion chopped
  4. 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  5. 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  6. 1 tin red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  7. 1 tin butter bean (optional and juice)
  8. 2 tbl spoons of tomato puree
  9. 1 tbl chilli powder mild
  10. 1 beef stock pot
  11. 1 tsp honey
  12. to taste Salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Brown mince then add chopped onion garlic and mushroom untill soften

    Add chill powder salt and pepper

  3. 3

    Add tomato puree and stir through and mixed well

  4. 4

    Add tin tomatoes, kidney beans and butter beans if using

  5. 5

    Using the empty tin of tomatoes fill with water then add to pan then use half again add beef stock pot

  6. 6

    Bring to boil then simmer for 2/3hours untill the stock has thickened add honey and stir through

  7. 7

    Serve with rice or jacket potatoes and spoonful of sourcream
