Smoked mackerel pate

Quick and easy to whip up for light lunch with bread or crackers or a tasty starter.



4 to 6 servings
  1. 250 gms smoked mackerel fillets skinned
  2. 250 gms cream cheese
  3. juice of one lemon
  4. 2 tablespoons finely chopped dill
  5. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  6. salt and pepper


5 minutes
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend with a hand blender until thoroughly combined and smooth textured.

  2. Transfer into a suitable serving dish and dust with a little of the smoked paprika or decorate with slices of lemon.

  3. Refrigerate until needed.

  4. Serve with toast or french bread.
