Breakfast banana porridge

This is one of our favourite weekend breakfasts. A sweeter treat over regular porridge and great source of energy for the day ahead. Make with dairy-free milk for a great vegan alternative.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 70 g oats (we use jumbo for extra texture)
  2. 400 ml milk or dairy-free(we like coconut or cashew)
  3. 2 bananas (slightly overripe makes it sweeter)
  4. Large dash of ground cinnamon
  5. Dash ground nutmeg
  6. Handful blueberries

Method

15 minutes
  1. Change

    Measure out the milk and oats into a pan.

  2. Change

    Put pan onto a medium heat. Slice the banana into small chunks and add to pan

  3. Change

    Add the spices and bring to a gentle simmer

  4. Change

    Once simmering turn the heat down a little and stir until the mixture thickens and the banana has almost completely disappeared

  5. Change

    Spoon into bowls and garnish with blueberries. Enjoy!
