Breakfast banana porridge

This is one of our favourite weekend breakfasts. A sweeter treat over regular porridge and great source of energy for the day ahead. Make with dairy-free milk for a great vegan alternative.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 70 g oats (we use jumbo for extra texture)
  2. 400 ml milk or dairy-free(we like coconut or cashew)
  3. 2 bananas (slightly overripe makes it sweeter)
  4. Large dash of ground cinnamon
  5. Dash ground nutmeg
  6. Handful blueberries

15 minutes
  1. Measure out the milk and oats into a pan.

  2. Put pan onto a medium heat. Slice the banana into small chunks and add to pan

  3. Add the spices and bring to a gentle simmer

  4. Once simmering turn the heat down a little and stir until the mixture thickens and the banana has almost completely disappeared

  5. Spoon into bowls and garnish with blueberries. Enjoy!
