Plov with lamb meat - my version from memory

About a year ago I heard from Uzbek lady how to make plov. So here I tried and as a cooking note I keep this recipe :) not sure whether it's truly right amount of ingredients though it was nice ;)))

Ingredients

4-5 people
  1. 500 g lamb meat
  2. 2 cups rice
  3. 2-3 carrots
  4. 2 whole garlic
  5. 70 ml vegetable oil
  6. 1 tsp cumin
  7. 1 tsp black pepper
  8. 1 tsp paprika powder
  9. 1/2 tbsp salt

    All ingredients!

    Shred carrots as in pictures. (About 5cm * 0.3cm)

    Slice onions.

  4. Change

    Cut lamb meat into small pieces (size is up to you!)

  5. Change

    Place the vegetable oil in the pot and with medium heat fry lamb meat. When it starts becoming brown add onions.

    A few minutes later, add carrots. With mid heat, fry them about 5 minutes until they become tender.

    Then add spices (paprika powder, peppers, salt, cumin). Stir it well.

    Next, wash rice and add it to the pot with water.

    Peel 2 garlics until the last skin they are connected.

  10. Change

    Place them in the pot.

    Put one plate (anything is ok) to cover ingredients.

  12. Change

    Turn the heat into very low heat, place the lid and cook about 30 minutes.

    After the 30 minutes, get rid of plate and place the garlic and meat aside from rice.

  14. Change

    After you put all rice on the place, then put carrots, garlic you put aside, and lamb meat. It's great to serve with fresh tomato salad ;)
