I learnt this recipe from my mother a little while ago. You can just marinade the chicken with salt and add a bit more garlic to your pot of sauce if you prefer.

Ingredients

55 mins
6 servings
  1. 1 tbsp minced garlic
  2. 75 grams salted butter
  3. 1 tsp minced garlic
  4. 25 ml vegetable oil
  5. 2-4 dried chili's, chopped
  6. 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Prepare your chicken, then in a large bowl add the marinade and mix well. Leave it overnight to absorb the flavours.

  2. 2

When it's time to cook prepare the bbq.

  3. 3

In a heat proof dish add all the sauce ingredients and place on the bbq grill when the flames have gone down. Every now and then stir it.

  4. 4

Add the chicken to the grill and cook for 30-45 minutes or until it is thoroughly cooked through.

  5. 5

Every now and then drizzle or brush some butter sauce on each chicken piece. In the last 5 minutes of cooking do drizzle some butter sauce over the pieces. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the cooked chicken once it has been transferred to the plate.

  6. 6

Remove when cooked and serve with a salad of your choice.
