Vickys Chicken-Fried Pork Steaks, GF DF EF SF NF

Basically just seasoned, breaded pork!

  1. 4 thin, boneless pork steaks
  2. 30 g gluten-free flour
  3. 1/2 tsp low-sodium salt
  4. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  5. 1/4 tsp sweet paprika
  6. 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  7. 3 tbsp light coconut milk
  8. 50 g dry gluten-free breadcrumbs
  9. 2-3 tbsp oil for frying

  1. Change

    Trim the fat from the steaks, cover with clingfilm and gently flatten out with a rolling pin so they're about 1/4" in thickness

  2. Change

    Mix the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika in a shallow bowl

  3. Add Photo

    Put the breadcrumbs in another bowl and the milk on a shallow plate

  4. Change

    Coat each pork steak first in the flour

  5. Change

    Quickly dredge in the milk...

  6. Change

    Then coat well in the breadcrumbs

  7. Change

    Heat the oil in a frying pan on a medium heat and cook the steaks for 3 - 4 minutes on each side until the crumb is golden. Add extra oil when turning

  8. Change

    Serve with whatever you like - baked beans, spicy rice, chips / fries, roast potatoes and veg...
