Ingredients

  1. 300 g - Plain flour
  2. 150 g - Unsalted butter (diced)
  3. Pinch - Salt
  4. 4 - Eggs
  5. 300 ml - Single cream
  6. 100 g - Back bacon (diced)
  7. 100 g - Mature cheddar (grated)

Cooking Instructions

    Get the flour, butter and salt in a bowl. Rub in the butter to the flour until breadcrumbs have formed. Add a splash of cold water and form a ball of dough. Wrap in cling film and chill in the fridge for 20 mins. Preheat oven to 210/ 190 degrees (fan).

    Roll out the pastry and press in to a greased 24cm quiche tin.

    Beat the eggs in a bowl. Whisk in the bacon, cheese and cream to form the filling. Pour in to the pastry case. Bake in the oven for 60 mins until filling is set and pastry is golden brown.
