Snacks that Indians can not live without. Here is a version you can binge on,without any guilt.Made using fiber rich oats,the 'Baked Oats Mathri' flavoured with garlic,kasoori methi and sesame seeds. Baking instead of deep frying the mathris reduce the calorie count.

Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 1 cup Oats
  2. 1 tbsp Kasoori methi
  3. 2 tbsp curd
  4. 1/2 tsp roasted and crushed cumin seeds
  5. 1/2 tsp Salt
  6. 2 tbsp Oil
  7. 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  8. 1 tsp green chilli paste
  9. 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  10. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  11. 1 Cheese cube grated

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Grind oats,cool down and make the powder. Assemble all things at one place.Grate the cheese.

    Combine oats and wheat flour.Add all the ingredients one by one.

    With the help of little water knead the flour into a stiff dough.Keep the dough aside to mature for half an hour.

    Knead again.Divide the dough into 20 equal portions and make balls.

    Flatten and prick them with the help of a fork. Make mathris of 3"diameter.

    Put them on a greased tray and bake them in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 200 deg celcius.

    Take out from the oven.

    Let them cool then serve.

    Store them in a airtight container and take them along to office,school or even to a journey.
