Ingredients

  1. 1 cup yellow moong dal
  2. 1/2 cup ghee
  3. 1 1/2 cup milk
  4. 1 cup water
  5. 1 cup sugar
  6. 1 tsp elaichi powder
  7. as needed Dry fruit (almonds & pista) sliced for garnish

Method

  1. Add Photo

    Soak moong dal overnight in water. Next day drain water & grind to smooth paste.

  2. Add Photo

    In a sauce pan combine milk water & sugar & heat the mixture until sugar has melted. Simmer for 5 minutes & keep aside

  3. Add Photo

    Heat ghee in a kadhai. Add the moon dal paste & cook on medium flame until nutty aroma arrives. Mixture will turn out lumpy in start so keep stirring.

  4. Add Photo

    Once the mixture start leaving ghee from side add the milk mixture & stir well to avoid lumps. Heat till all the moisture evaporates.

  5. Change

    Garnish with slice almonds & pista. Serve hot.
