Cauliflower and split chick peas curry

Ingredients

  1. 1 bowl split chickpeas soaked
  2. 1 medium size cauliflower
  3. 1/2 can chopped tomatoes
  4. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. to taste Salt
  7. 1 teaspoon sugar
  8. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  9. 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  10. 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  11. 1 tablespoon chopped coriander

Steps

  1. Wash the soaked split chick peas and cauliflower.

  2. In a pressure cooker add 1 tablespoon oil, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and mustard seed. Once it starts to flutter add chopped tomatoes, garlic ginger paste and stir. Add turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, salt and sugar and let it cook for a minute. Add 1 cup of water, coriander and add split gram peas and cauliflower to it. Mix well.

  4. Pressure cook until 3 whistles. Let it cool before opening the pressure. Your curry is ready to serve with naan or rice.
