Ingredients

2-3 servings
  1. 1 cup moong dal
  2. 1 chilli
  3. 1 tsp jeera
  4. 1/4 tsp haldi
  5. 2 tbsp coriander powder
  6. 1 pinch hing
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 3 tbsp water
  9. 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  10. as needed oil for roasting

Steps

  1. Firstly, in a large bowl soak moong dal for 3 hours.drain off the water and transfer to the mixi jar.

  2. Add  chilli, and cumin.blend to smooth paste adding water if required.transfer the batter to the bowl.

  3. Add  turmeric, coriander, hing and salt. And coriander leaves

  4. Mix well adding water forming thick flowing consistency chilla batter.
    further, pour a ladleful of batter onto a hot tawa and spread gently.

  5. Pour oil over chilla.cover and allow cooking on a medium flame for a minute.now flip the chilla and cook both sides pressing gently.
    finally, moong dal chilla is ready to serve with green and souce chutney.
