Gooey chocolate chip & peanut butter cookies 🍪

My first baking recipe! Had the pleasure of being baked for by my friends Duncan and Emma this weekend. Here’s the recipe for the amazing melt in the middle cookies! 🍪

Ingredients

12 cookies
  1. 125 g unsalted butter
  2. 150 g caster sugar
  3. 75 g soft brown sugar
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1 tsp vanilla
  6. 220 g self raising flour
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 150 g chocolate chips
  9. 75 g peanut butter (optional)

Steps

20 minutes
  1. Preheat oven to 200c and line two baking trays with baking parchment

  2. Mix the butter and sugars in a bowl until fluffy. Then add an egg and vanilla. Mix well.

  3. Sift flower and salt into mixture. Mix until soft dough forms. Stir in chocolate chips and optional peanut butter.

  4. Put tennis ball sized lumps of batter on your tray. Leave plenty of space between each one, they will spread out a lot!

  5. Bake in oven for 7-12 minutes until browned. Keep an eye on them.

  6. Cool for 10 minutes before eating if you can wait!
