I started making this for my wife so she could expand her culinary horizons. I’m not sure where I learned it, but I’ve been making it like this for years.

*A tart pan is helpful in making this recipe!

Ingredients

4 people
  1. 4 eggs
  2. 3/4 cup heavy cream
  3. 1 lb chopped spinach
  4. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
  5. 1/2 cup shredded gruyere
  6. Pre-made pie crust

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare pie crust according to instructions. Allow to cool.

    Add cheeses to bottom of cooled pie crust. Squeeze any water from spinach and distribute it evenly over cheese. It doesn’t have to be an even layer. Little wads here and there are fine.

    Combine eggs and heavy cream in bowl and pour over spinach and cheese.

    Baked in 375 degree oven for about 30-40 minutes. Remove and cool for 10 minutes.
