Samai (Little millet) Curd Rice

Ingredients

1 cup samai
-
4 cups water
-
1 tbsp oil

Curd as required

1/2 onion chopped
-
1 tsp ginger finely chopped

2 garlic pods finely chopped

3 green chillies slitted

Salt as required

To Temper
-
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
-
1 tsp Urad dal
-
1 tsp Channa dal
Cooking Instructions

Wash samai and mix it with water. Pressure cook for 3 whistles

While it’s getting cooked, heat a pan with oil and temper with mustard seeds, Urad dal and channa dal.

Add onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies together and sauté for few mins until onion becomes glassy. No need to be soft. Add salt.

Mix it with samai along with curd.
