I've spent a half a year working to make a bread that is low in calories and carbs. This is considered one of those concepts of lead into gold. I've managed to make a near perfect end product. It also contains about half a days supply of fiber too. Nearly pure protein. Only problem is it is a bit expensive for the unique two ingredients. It uses a bread maker. The bread is slightly more chewy and a bit more sponges.. But toasts awesome and tastes awesome.. It can be used as a crust for a pizza too. The kicker... 260 calorie small loaf here.. Near zero carbs.. The yeast is the only ingredient with a listed no fiber carb.

Ingredients

  1. 12 Tablespoons wheat protein isolate 8000 (error on more side)
  2. 2 Tablespoons oat fiber (error on less side)
  3. 1 Tablespoon yeast
  4. 1/4 Teaspoons salt
  5. 14-16 Tablespoons water

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Warm water into bread pan, wheat protein, oat fiber, salt on one side, yeast on the other.

  2. 2

Set bread maker to light crust, smallest loaf 'normal' bread setting.

  3. 3

During the mixing (first cycle), I usually scrape the sides of the pan with a knife so 5hat all the mix incorporates at the beginning but... The automated cycles should get it all... Just a preference to see it all mixed together early.

  4. 4

I took the same amount of dough and made pizza. A bit too thick, failure of me as a pizza stretcher.
