Macaroni Salad, Creamy

My husband loves the macaroni salad he gets at a local vendor who sells bento bowls. This is my attempt at duplicating it.
Creamy and simple.



  1. 1 teaspoon salt
  2. 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  3. 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  5. 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  6. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  7. 3 Cups elbow macaroni
  8. 1 and 1/2 Cup mayonnaise
  9. 1/2 Cup sour cream
  10. 5 ozs. evaporated canned milk
  11. 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  12. 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  13. 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots


  1. Add Photo

    Cook macaroni according to directions, rinse, and cool.

  2. Add Photo

    Set spices in small bowl to the side to add later.

  3. Add Photo

    Add onions, carrots, and celery to macaroni first and lightly stir.

  4. Add Photo

    Next add mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir in.

  5. Add Photo

    Add spices and stir in.

  6. Add Photo

    Add milk last. Stir and chill in refrigerator until ready to serve.
