Sweet and Sour Pork

This is an old recipe of mine for sweet and sour pork that I updated by stir frying the pork instead of battering and deep frying it. It makes it a quick one pan meal and we liked the fresher taste of the pork. Chicken and shrimp can be added as well.



  1. 1 09rk tenderloin
  2. 1 tablespoon chili infused olive oil
  3. For Sauce
  4. 3/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
  5. 1/2 cup ketcup
  6. 1 tablespoon tamari soy sauce
  7. 1 tablespoon mirin
  8. 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  9. 1 tablespooncornstarch
  10. 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  11. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  12. 1/4 teaspoon red red pepper flakes
  13. For Vegetables
  14. 1 clove garlic, minced
  15. 1 jalapeño, thin sliced
  16. 4 sliced green onions
  17. 1/2 cup bamboo shoots
  18. 2 medium red peppers cut in sqares
  19. 1/2 cup baby corn
  20. 1/2 .cup sliced water chestnuts
  21. 1 medium onion cut in sqares


  1. Change

    Cut pork into cubes season with salt and pepper. Or use a premarinated Asian spied as I did this time

  2. Add Photo

    Heat oil in wok or large skillet. Brown pork removing as done to a plate add onions peppers, garlic, bamboo shoots, corn,pepper and red pepper flakes. Cook until crisp tender

  3. Change

    Combine rice vinegar, ketcuo, mirin, ginger and cornstarch in a bowl. Whisk to blend

  4. Change

    Add to vegetables in the skillet and bring to a boil and cook just until thickene.add pork off neat stir to combine. Plate on serving playter. Serve with rice
