Beef Stroganoff Fettuccine

Recipe adapted from Reader's Digest One-Dish Cooking Cookbook. Changed it a little to suit what we have in the kitchen

Ingredients

3 servings
  1. Cooked fettuccine
  2. {marinade}
  3. strips Beef
  4. 1 tbsp soy sauce
  5. 2 tsp steak powder (marinade of your choice)
  6. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  7. 1 tbsp dried mixed herbs
  8. 1 tsp salt
  9. 2 tsp course black pepper
  10. 1 pinch nutmeg powder
  11. 1 tsp paprika
  12. 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  13. 1 tsp cooking oil
  14. [To Cook]
  15. cherry tomatoes
  16. 1 bell pepper (any color of your choice)
  17. 1 large onion
  18. 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  19. 1 can button mushrooms
  20. 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  21. 1/2 cup stock (beef/vegetable/mushroom)
  22. 1 tbsp chicken powder
  23. 1 tbsp soy sauce
  24. 1/2 beef cube
  25. 2 tsp corn flour
  26. water
  27. 1/2 cup light sour cream

Method

  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    Marinade beef strips for at least 20 minutes. Air-fry beef strips separately. Alternatively, before proceeding to step 2, cook the beef strips in pan until they are slightly brown and remove.

    Heat up pan, add a little oil and cook onion and garlic until onion is soft

    Add bell pepper, cook for a minute. Add button mushrooms, cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally

    Stir in balsamic vinegar or sherry, water/stock, crushed beef cubes, chicken powder, salt, pepper, light sour cream, soy sauce/oyster sauce (your food, your choice)

    Return beef to the mix. Add in cherry tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes. Mix corn flour with water to form slurry and add it to the mixture and stir slowly. Bring to boil.

    Serve with cooked fettuccine.
