This mac salad is not like those youll find in the store or at KFC. It's more of a meal than a side dish, hope you enjoy. :chef

Ingredients

15 mins
10 servings
  1. Main ingredient
  2. 16 oz package of pasta whatever you like, I used large sized elbows
  3. 1 can tuna in water, you can use two cans if you really like tuna, not me...
  4. 1 large vadalia onion chopped small
  5. 1 can peas, drained really well although I didn't have any to use today
  6. Dressing
  7. 3/4 cup Helmanns mayo, yes it makes a difference...
  8. 1 tsp salt
  9. 1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, fresh would be better
  10. 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  11. 1/2 tsp onion powder
  12. 3/4 tbsp sugar for slight sweetness (optional)
  13. 1/2 tbsp sweet relish (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

This salad is a meal in itself, one my sons have always enjoyed

  2. 2

Start by boiling water in a large pot, add your pasta and cook about 8 minutes, should be al dente, dont want it mushy, drain and rinse with cold water until pasta is cool. Put pasta, tuna, onions and any veggie you are using together with other ingredients in a large bowl and GENTLY mix, so you dont get good all over like I do, chill until ready to eat

I'm a Grandma of 4 little cuties, of course I love to cook, I am creative enough that I make jewelry I know anyone can do that. I can also draw and crochet, I crocheted a lot when my 1st grandchild was due now I make her cute things to wear only they're jewelry type things lol the other 3 are my handsome little men who normally aren't interested in jewelry but occasionally get some jewelry too, at least the older 2.
