Pumpkin Bread with Maple Icing Glaze

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 c butter, softened
  2. 1 c dark brown sugar
  3. 1 c canned pumpkin purée(not pumpkin pie mix)
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  6. 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  7. 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  8. 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  9. 1 tsp baking powder
  10. 1 tsp baking soda
  11. 1 tsp salt
  12. 1 1/2 c all purpose flour
  13. Maple glaze
  14. 1 1/4 c powdered sugar
  15. 1 tbsp milk
  16. 2 tbsp butter
  17. 1 tbsp maple syrup
  18. 1/4 tsp kosher salt

Steps

  1. Pre- heat oven to 350. Grease 9” loaf pan with cooking spray and set aside.

  2. Combine all ingredients above (except for maple glaze) until well mixed.

  3. Pour batter into greased 9” loaf pan. Bake 45-50 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean. (If bread becomes too brown cover with foil and continue baking until done).

  4. While bread is cooling down, prepare to make glaze. Melt butter in small sauce pan. Add powdered sugar (it will clump) Add milk, maple syrup,salt until there are no more lumps. You want a smooth and runny consistency. Add more milk if too thick. Pour on top of bread when cooled down. Enjoy!
