Ok, you all will groan because this is another Facebook recipe. I am a sucker for the easy or quick recipes. Some are not very good but this one isn't the case. My husband hates chicken and dumplings, but loves this recipe.

Ingredients

  1. 2 can cream of chicken soup
  2. 2 can chicken broth (15oz each)
  3. 1 stick butter or margerine
  4. 1 lb chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
  5. 1 packages frozen egg noodles (24 oz) I used Reames.

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

In crockpot put chicken on bottom. Pour the chicken broth and soup on top. Then top that with the stick of butter. Put the crockpot on low for 6-7 hours.

  2. 2

Take the chicken out and shred. Put back in crockpot.

  3. 3

Add the frozen noodles and cook for 2 more hours. (I stir every 30 minutes until done.)

  4. 4

*Note: If this seems too bland, feel free to use whatever spices you would use for chicken and dumplings. I use poultry seasoning at the beginning and add white pepper and salt when I put the noodles in. I stir so it doesn't get to thick. And if it does seem too thick add a bit of water to help thin it.

Best recipe ever! You must use Reames frozen noodles, in my opinion; however, I use canned chicken. Just add your noodles when your liquid comes to a boil. Try these over mashed potatoes, they're absolutely delicious!!
