This rice is kind of heavy and moist but the flavors really good if you want a lighter rice I would use less tomato sauce and more water.

Ingredients

  1. 6 slice bacon
  2. 2 cup instant rice
  3. 1/3 cup diced bell pepper
  4. 1/3 cup diced onion
  5. 1/2 cup ketsup
  6. 2 clove fresh garlic minced
  7. 1 tbsp instant chicken base
  8. 8 oz tomato sauce (1 8oz can)
  9. 1 1/4 cup water

Cooking Instructions

    Dice up the bacon and saute the bacon in a non stick sauce pan until done.

    Add the bell pepper, onion and garlic and cook a few minutes or until onions are transparent.

    Add the water, tomato sauce, ketsup, and chicken base and bring to a boil.

    Add rice then let it come to a boil stir well then cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 30 mins. (Don't forget to fluff the rice after 15 mins)

    Transfer to serving dish.
