Basic Creamy Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

This is a easy classic vanilla buttercream frosting
Ingredients

1 cup room temperature salted butter (2 sticks)

4 cup confectionary sugar

3 tbsp cream, heavy cream for the best texture but, light cream, half and half, or milk can be substituted

2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Cooking Instructions

Beat sugar and butter until mixed. (It starts out lumpy but will eventually smooth out) Add cream and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy about, 2 minutes. If its too stiff add some of the cream until desired consistancy.

Use to frost one 2 layer cake or 24 cupcakes.

TIP FOR A PERFECT LIGHT CREAMY FROSTING--If your frosting seems dry or powdery or too thick add more cream in small amounts and beat well. It should be light and fluffy.
