Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Cooked this in a cast iron pot, added the cheese just before serving. Hope you enjoy it as much as the family did.
Ingredients

1/2 lb lean ground beef

1/2 lb italian pork sausage

1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms (optional)

1 (15oz) container refrigerated marinara sauce

1 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes with italian seasonings, undrained

1 (9oz) pkg refrigerated cheese-filled tortellini

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or pizza cheese blend
Cooking Instructions

In large skillet, break ground beef and sausage into large pieces. Cook over medium heat about 10 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally.

Spray 4 to 5 quart slow cooker with non stick cooking spray. Combine meat mixture, mushrooms, marinara sauce and tomatoes into slow cooker; mix well.

Cover; cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

About 15 minutes before serving, add tortellini to slow cooker; stir gently to mix. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover; cook on low setting for an additional 15 minutes or until tortellini are tender.
