Homemade Sweet chili sauce

I love me some sweet chili sauce that I had to recreate the my own version and I have not gone back since I started this journey
Ingredients

1 cup water

2 tbsp cornstarch

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 cup red jalapeno peppers

3 medium cloves of garlic, minced (about 1 tablespoon)

2/3 cup sugar

2/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup rice vinegar

2 teaspoons salt

1/3 cup rice vinegar

2 tsp salt

2 tbsp water for corn starch
Cooking Instructions

In a small cup, whisk together 2 tbsp water and cornstarch. Set aside.

In a saucepan, mix together a cup of water, sugar, pepper, vinegar, and salt.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, reduce heat and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.

Stir in the cornstarch mixture, then whisk into saucepan and cook until thickened, about 1 minute more.

Remove from heat, let cool, and use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
