i served this for several occasions, as an appetizer for a party and as well as dessert for a party. snacks for the kids as well. this bread was a huge hit! moist and packed full of fruit! people asked if i had any left cuz they wanted to take some home. even my picky daughter couldnt stop eating it. i hope u enjoy it as much as my family and friends have. no this is not your average fruit cake this is fruit bread.. enjoy!

  1. 3 bananas, mashed but leave a few chunks
  2. 3/4 cup applesauce
  3. 3 eggs, whisked
  4. 3 tbsp vanilla soy milk or whole milk
  5. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  7. 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  8. 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  9. 1 cup granulated sugar
  10. 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  11. 1/8 cup chopped walnuts or candied walnuts
  12. 1/8 cup slivered almonds or chopped macadamia nuts
  13. 1/3 cup raisins
  14. 1/3 cup diced green apple
  15. 1/3 cup dried cranberries (craisins)
  16. 1/3 cup dried cherries
  17. 1/3 cup milk chocolate chips

  1. preheat oven to 350.

  2. in a large bowl mix together mashed bananas, applesause, eggs & milk.

  3. in a seperate bowl mix flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.

  4. add dry to wet. mix well.

  5. fold in all other fruits, nuts and chocolate chips.

  6. prepare 2 bread loaf pans by spraying with baking spray.

  7. divide mix into both pans evenly.

  8. bake for about an hour. bread will be done when browned, a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
