Ingredients

4people
  1. 1 cup maida
  2. to taste salt
  3. 1/4 cup butter
  4. 1 1/2 cup milk
  5. 1 tsp black pepper
  6. 1 tsp oregano
  7. 4-5 tbsp garlic
  8. 2 tbsp chilly flakes
  9. 1 tsp sugar
  10. 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  11. 2 onions
  12. 2 potatoes
  13. 1 cup boiled corn
  14. 1 cup capsicum
  15. 1 cup french beans
  16. 1 cup carrot
  17. 6-7 tomatoes
  18. 300 grams shredded cheese

Steps

  1. Take 1 cup maida, add. pinch of salt and knead a soft dough out of it

  2. Divide it into round portions and let it rest for 30 minutes

  3. Meanwhile prepare Red sauce..

  4. In a pan put 3tbsp oil and add chopped garlic, oregano and chili flakes

  5. Let the spices release their flavour in the oil

  6. Cut the tomatoes in 2 halves and add it in

  7. Put a pinch of salt and stir well

  8. Cover with lid and let it cook for around 10 min

  9. After 10 min, tomatoes must have released their skin.. remove the skin and continue cooking it till it leaves the sides

  10. Add tomato ketchup and salt

  11. Add little water and grind it into a coarse paste

  12. Adjust the water(here we want thin sauce)

  13. 2nd sauce is white sauce

  14. Take a pan put 2 tbsp butter and add maida

  15. Saute till the maida cooks properly

  17. Add salt, black pepper, oregano, shredded cheese 1 - 2 cubes

  18. Keep stiring till u get the consistency of a sauce

  19. Back to the dough..

  20. Take the small portions and roll it into very thin sheets (sheets should be of the shape and size of your pan)

  21. Let the sheets rest on cooling racks for 30 minutes

  22. Now in a pan put 2-3 tbsp oil.. add garlic, oregano and chilli flakes

  24. Now add finely chopped onions, carrots, potatoes, capsicum, beans, corn

  25. Cook till the veggies are soft and tender

  26. Add salt and black pepper and switch off the flame

  27. You can also put some lemon juice if you like tangy flavour

  28. Now Take a non stick pan put some red sauce in it and spread it well

  31. Now add veggie mixture all around

  33. Repeat the same process till 4-5 layers depending on the size of your pan

  34. There is not any specific way to arrange the layers (you can arrange the way you wish to)

  35. Switch on the gas and cook this on slow flame for around 25 minutes

  36. Let it cool for 15 minutes and cut into 4 or 6 pieces and serve
