When my kids were little I fed them lots of Omerice, that’s how this dish was called in Korea. Omerice was always served with ketchup. It was an inexpensive and quick meal. My kids loved it. And they loved ketchup, too. So it was a win-win menu.
Today’s protein would be hotdogs. Just got hotdogs from Senior Grocery program today. Very convenient.

  11. Oil for cooking

Cooking Instructions

    Dice all vegetables and hotdogs.

  2. 2

In a bowl, crack 3 large eggs. Add pinch of salt and pepper. Whip it well. Set aside.

  3. 3

Put frying pan on high heat. When pan is hot, put some oil, add all of the diced ingredients in and cook until onion is translucent. Make a well, add soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar. Mix well. Add rice. Cook for another 3 minutes. Turn off heat.

Wait until the border gets cooked, fold one side in, the ends in, and the last side in. Refer to pictures.

  5. 5

Cover with a lid. Let it cook for another 2 minutes. When done, turn off heat, put plate on pan (picture). Hold plate with one hand, with the other hand holding the pan, turn the pan over onto the plate.

  6. 6

And your omerice is rested on the plate. Drizzle with some ketchup. Lunch/dinner is ready.

😬. Not sure about this. I’ll give it a try. Hate oyster sauce tho. And I’m gonna replace soy sauce for coconut aminos or soy aminos.
