Ingredients

  1. 260 ml water
  2. 1 egg
  3. 475 gr bread flour
  4. 1 TBSP mixed spice
  5. 1 TBSP orange peel
  6. 1 3/4 TBSP sugar
  7. 3 TBSP powder milk
  8. 2 tsp salt
  9. 2 tsp yeast
  10. 1 cup mixed fruits/raisins soaked in rum/water
  11. 45 gr butter
  12. 2 TBSP flour + water and oil to make paste for crosses
  13. 45 gr butter

Cooking Instructions

    Just dump the ingredients into your bread maker and run the dough cycle. Or you can knead using your mixer and proofed until double.

    De-gas your dough and shape into 10-12 rolls. Or if your family is like mine, divide into 8 giant rolls. Proof one more time for about 20 minutes.

    Pipe the cross’ topping using zip lock bag.

  4. 4

    Bake in a preheated oven 180’C for 15-20 minutes.

    Once cooked through, brush with thick sugar syrup.
